Conference venue

ACE 2026 will be held at the University of Canberra in Bruce, in Canberra’s north.

The main conference sessions will take place in Building 2 at 11 Kirinari Street, Bruce ACT 2617, with plenary and parallel rooms located within a short walk of each other.

Dinner venues

The Alan Auerbach dinner on Wednesday 8 July

At the CSCC Yacht Club, 1 Mariner Pl, Yarralumla

An express bus leaves from Oscar's Bakery Cafe, next to the UCX bar at the University of Canberra at 5.50pm to take delegates to the CSCC Yacht Club for a 6.15pm dinner start.

After dinner, a return bus will leave the CSCC Yacht Club at 9.15pm and stop at the QT in Civic, the University of Canberra, and the Mercure in Belconnen.

The Conference dinner on Thursday 9 July

At the Arboretum, Forest Drive

Two buses willl transport delegates to the Arboretum for a 6.30pm dinner start and return afterwards.

The first leaves from the Mercure Belconnen at 6.10pm and returns to the Mercure Belconnen at 9.45pm.

The second leaves from Oscar's Bakery Cafe, next to the UCX bar at the University of Canberra, at 6pm and returns to the University of Canberra at 9.30pm.

Campus facilities

The University of Canberra campus offers a modern conference environment with lecture theatres and seminar rooms equipped with audio-visual facilities, Wi‑Fi and accessible entry.

Cafés and food outlets are located within easy walking distance of the conference rooms, and the campus is close to Belconnen Town Centre for additional dining and services.

Getting there

The University of Canberra campus is approximately 10–15 minutes’ drive from the Canberra city centre and around 20–25 minutes from Canberra Airport, depending on traffic. Taxis and rideshare services are readily available.

From the city, delegates can travel to the campus by ACTION bus. Options include the Routes 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 buses, which run between the city and Belconnen and stop near the conference venue at the University of Canberra in Bruce. More information is available here.

A range of accommodation options are available close to the University of Canberra and across the broader Canberra region, from hotels and serviced apartments to budget options.

Delegates may wish to stay in Belconnen, which offers hotels and serviced apartments within a short drive or bus ride of the campus, or in the city centre, which provides easy access to restaurants, cultural institutions and frequent public transport services.

Parking

Paid parking is available on campus in designated car parks near the main conference buildings. Delegates who plan to drive are encouraged to allow additional time to locate parking and to observe campus parking signage and payment requirements.
